When the developers of the new Touchmark Retirement Facility in Bend, Oregon began, they scarcely knew what they were getting into. The Touchmark model required a movie theater, swimming pool, elevator, memory care wing, and more. The designers had no idea how that their design was going to fail to meet compliance codes, and cost serious delays and large amounts of money that the budget hadn’t counted on.
